Described by the media as a flagship scheme for the city of Sheffield, Crowley Associates was appointed to the £35m project from inception, working closely with the clients and Bond Bryan Architects to deliver a planning permission that will, when complete, transform the site of a former car dealership located at the gateway to Sheffield city centre.
The scheme will include 144 private apartments, 190 student beds, with a mix of commercial space at ground. The biggest challenge facing the scheme was one of scale, the project proposes to introduce substantial height in a departure from its immediate context. Crowley Associates is currently busy discharging the conditions, and the developer is looking to make a start on site late 2019.
