Design and Masterplanning
Our client approached us to looks at the potential of developing a plot of land within their family home. The site was currently used as a cultivated garden within the setting of a listed building. We needed to balance the aims of the development with the objectives of the Sheffield Development Plan.
After visiting the site and seeing the potential, we delivered a constraints plan, design rationale and a planning strategy for our client to help with their application. The client then asked us to submit the outline application to develop nine dwellings on the land.
Planning permission was granted at committee in August 2020 with no changes to the proposal thought the lifetime of the application process.
