Oakes Lodge - Application Submitted

Working on behalf of The Oakes Trust, Crowley Associates has this week submitted a planning application and listed building consent as part of our pro-bono partnership. The application seeks permission for alterations and an extension to the Grade II Listed lodge and if approved will not only secure enhancements but its long-term preservation.

Designed by Alex Griffin and supported by heritage professional Andrew Whitham, the works to the lodge include the replacement of an unsympathetic 20th century extension and the reinstatement of some of the original elements of the lodge whilst also providing a new contemporary living space. The carefully considered design of the extension and internal reconfiguration of the lodge will provide much-needed improvements that will bring the building up to modern, habitable standards and also better reveal the significance of the lodge and its historic elevations.

If you would like to explore the value our services can add to your project involving heritage, or any other planning sensitivity, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
